Highly Original 1979 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible

New to our Benicia showroom is this highly original, highly iconic 1979 Volkswagen Beetle 2 Door Convertible with red exterior paint and a black interior. It features the factory 1546 CC four-cylinder engine under the hood with the matching four-speed manual transmission, and this one drives as well as any Bug we’ve come across in recent years. It also has a mere 850 miles on the rebuilt engine as well, so this one is ready to be driven and enjoyed today.

Freshly Rebuilt Engine w/ Very Nice Power

The current owner of this 1979 Volkswagen Beetle Roadster informs us that it is a three-owner vehicle that still has the original drivetrain. While it does show a few minor blemishes here and there, everything from the exterior paint to the convertible top to the interior is extremely well maintained. Likewise, the freshly rebuilt factory engine seems to have good acceleration and this one handles just like you’d expect. It’s simply a great overall example.
