Extremely rare and one of the last true Ford muscle cars the 1971 Ford Mustang Boss 351 saw just 1,806 units ever produced. The website Boss351Registry.com has determined that only 591 have been located to date, which is just 33% of the total number produced. This particular Boss 351 features a special ordered color in Calypso Coral Orange and according to the Marti Report this vehicle is One of One with these paint and trim codes. With this Boss 351 being the only one of its kind there is no question the car is a rare and unique piece that any collector or enthusiast should be proud to own. This vehicle comes with a Deluxe Marti Report documenting its options and statistical rarity, as well as the original dealer invoices that match the Marti Report's findings. The 1971 Boss 351 featured a specially designed 351 C.I. V8 derived from Ford's latest engine design at the time, the Cleveland, which was designed to rev high and featured large cylinder heads for excellent performance potential. Producing an honest 330 horsepower at 5,400rpm and 370 foot pounds of torque at 4,000rpm the Boss 351 was an enthusiasts dream, as it sprinted form 0-60 in 5.8 seconds and shredded the 1/4 mile in an impressive 13.9 seconds @ 102mph. Under the previous owner the 351 C.I. V8 was rebuilt with an odometer reading of 87,764 miles and the car has seen less than 20,000 miles since. We have receipts from the rebuild and other mechanical work that was performed in the 1980's. Optioned with a 3.91 Traction-Lok rear axle ratio and a four speed wide ratio manual transmission this Mustang is suitable for street use and also included a plethora of additional options, including rare power side windows. Accentuating the roof line and bulging rear haunches the power side windows due the line of this Mustangjustice andis a unique option that wasn't available on other Boss Mustangs not equipped with power windows.

This Boss 351 has been kept completely original and still wears the original Calypso Coral paint that it dawned form the factory. Out of 79 Sportsroof Mustangs produced with special order paint codes only three (3) Boss 351's were equipped with the Calypso Coral paint and the last two of these orange Boss 351's sold for over $100,000+, making this particular Boss a bargain . As we all know a car is only original once, so if you're looking for a sought after classic that is sure to appreciate in value, stop your search with this 1971 Boss 351.
