Immaculate 1965 Chevy Corvette Stingray Roadster


If you are the type of collector who settles for the very best in a classic muscle car, then you absolutely must see the 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Sing Ray 2 Door Convertible in person. It is Nassau Blue with a matching blue vinyl interior (matches trim tag) and has its factory 327cid V-8 engine (350 HP) under the hood with the matching 4 speed transmission and correct dated coded AN (3.55:1) posi rear. This one is a highly documented car.


Complete Nut & Bolt Restoration


The current owner of this 1965 Chevy Corvette Stingray Roadster informs us that he purchased the car back in 2007. The current owner has had a top to bottom engine rebuild less than 3000 miles ago. The previous owner had owned the car for over 20 years and had gone through a complete frame on restoration. The drive train is original and in factory working condition. The chassis and suspension looks brand new and handled like a factory new car. The interior was restored to factory original. In fact the entire build has been thoroughly documented and the owner has a large number of receipts, pictures, original parts including the original Wonderbar radio and matching speaker.

Overall, this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Convertible is in near perfect condition and drives like it just left the factory showroom a few hours ago. This car was delivered to Mike Persia Chevrolet in New Orleans on May 14 1965 and sold to M.M. Gandy. It includes the original owner’s manual, owner protection plan date stamped book including protect-o-plate and radio guide and original plastic owner’s manual slips as historical documentation. There are also numerous photos of the car in restoration and parts receipts. This car has correct date coded parts for an April 1965 build.

The engine is completely rebuilt with cylinders bored .060 over and oversize intake and exhaust valves in the original heads. Work documentation can be supplied.

The transmission operates and shifts like new and is leak free. The rear end is leak free and works fine.The frame and suspension is clean and black with new bushing, shocks, calipers, pads installed during the restoration.

All instrument, clock and accessories work as intended. Original heater core rebuilt 2 years ago. ½ pint of blue lacquer comes with the car.
Optional unrestored hardtop requires assembly and new sealing rubber. Roof paint Nassau blue with paper protected rear window.

The original Wonderbar radio and speaker comes with the car. The speaker needs to be rebuilt. Unknown if the radio works.
