Gorgeous 1964 Lincoln Continental

The next desirable classic up for grabs in our Fairfield showroom is this gorgeous 1964 Lincoln Continental 4 Door Hardtop Coupe with white exterior paint and a black leather interior. This one has been fully restored in recent years and it features a 430 CI V-8 engine under the hood with an automatic transmission, cold A/C, cruise control, disc brakes, power everything, and the factory radio. It is an incredibly rare find and the odometer shows a mere 08,374 miles on this vehicle (which we cannot certify as accuratebut we believe that it is. See below).

** Over $20,000 Spent on Restoration Alone**

This 1964 Lincoln Continental Hardtop Coupe was purchased new by a couple from a small town in Oregon. As the wife explained, neither of them drove it much over the years and it was rarely taken out of their small town. In 2008, the wife asked a family friend / mechanic who had always taken care this car to sell it for her.

He took it to sell at Renos Hot August Nights. Since it was sparingly driven and then spent a long time sitting in storage it did require pretty extensive restorations. The current owner has over $15,000 in receipts from the over $20,000 spent making this old beauty new again. The history of this car is why we believe that the mileage could in fact be original, although there is no way to prove or disprove it.

Some would say that the current owner went overboard on his spending since Cosmetically the car already seemed great.

Much of the cost was hidden in projects like the $1,600.00 spent to buy the weather striping, investing $400 on restoring the factory radio. $1,000.00 spent on all new hoses for the radiator. When upgrading the front brakes to power disc brakes all front end parts were replaced including adding the sway bar. If one didn't work he replaced all of them for example every motor for each power window replaced with new, including the small wing windows at the very front.

When purchased the rear seal had dried out and was leaking. The transmission was pulled to repair the rear seal, To prevent any unnecessary breakdown in the future it was sent out to be inspected and repaired if needed.

Almost every component throughout this vehicle was either torn down and rebuilt or replaced, including removing the gas tank having it boiled out to be free of any debris or rust.
it is incredibly clean and a superior driver.

Overall, this 1964 Lincoln Continental 4 Door Hardtop is in very nice shape and it drives like a modern luxury sedan. With an asking price thats below the actual restoration costs, it is safe to say that there is not a better value to be had on this model nationwide.
