This 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 XL is a great looking car and features a Thunderbird 390 C.I. "Z" Code V8 with 300 horsepower and 427 pounds of torque. The engine is hooked up to a 4 speed manual transmission making the power more usable and also making the car a joy to drive. The raven black paint is glossy and in great condition, as is the black carpet and seats. The body is straight and shows well for a black car with good fitment of all the panels. The 500Xl was a deluxe model with standard soft bucket seats with a center console, and also featured XL trim moldings and enhancements. The 1964 Fords are also legendary for their racing history as many of the factory lightweight cars were used by the Ford Motor Company extensively on the race track. This car comes with some great brochures documenting the model's history and luxurious options for the time.
