Incredibly Rare 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint Convertible

New to our Benicia showroom is this eye catching 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint 2 Door Convertible with black exterior paint and a matching black interior. It features a 260 CI V-8 engine under the hood with an automatic transmission and this classic sports car is nicely equipped for daily driving. With only 12,000 miles on the rebuilt engine, this beauty is ready to be enjoyed for the fast-approaching summer.

What makes this particular model so coveted is that it's convertible with a factory V-8 engine. Only the 1963 1/2 Falcon was eligible for these upgraded options and just over 4,600 roadsters were produced, with only a small fraction of them receiving the optional V-8 engine. As many collectors already know, however, the Falcon Sprint build evolved into the 1964 1/2 Mustang a year later, and the two models were almost identical mechanically (while having a completely different exterior look).

That's why many collectors consider the ultra-rare 1963 1/2 Ford Falcon Sprint models a must-have example within their collection- because it was essentially the "proof of concept" for the most popular sports car of all time.

The current owner of this 1963 Ford Falcon Sprint Roadster informs us that it’s a lifetime California classic that’s been regularly maintained by him since 2005.
