The next gorgeous classic up for grabs in our Benicia showroom is this impressive 1961 MG MGA 1600 Mark I 2 Door Roadster with red exterior paint and a tan leather interior. It features a freshly rebuilt 1600 cc 4-cylinder engine under the hood with a 4-speed manual transmission, and this one is in excellent mechanical condition as well. The sale of this vehicle includes the original soft top and windows that can be installed on stormy days, although the current owner informs us that this one hasnt seen a drop of rain in almost 40 years.

Two-Owner Roadster Believed to be 100% Original

The current owner of this immaculate 1961 MG MGA 1600 Mark I Roadster purchased it all the way back in 1975 from the original owner. He informs us that this is a lifetime CA vehicle that was originally purchased in Bakersfield, California and that they believe this iconic roadster is completely original throughout. Also, the engine has been rebuilt within the last 379 miles and it has been meticulously maintained throughout its life.

In terms of its physical condition, this 1961 MG MGA 1600 Mark I Roadster is simply a very clean, well-maintained original vehicle. There are a few minor imperfections in the paint and the chrome, but otherwise this one looks extremely good for a survivor and it drives like a champion.
