Simply Breathtaking 1951 GMC 5 Window Pickup
New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1951 GMC 5 Window 2 Door Pickup with green exterior paint and a very nice tan vinyl interior. You’ll find a 350 GM crate V-8 engine under the hood paired with an Edelbrock intake, ceramic coated headers, serpentine belts and a Turbo 350 automatic transmission, plus this modernized pickup sits on a Chevy S10 frame and comes equipped with power front disc brakes, new springs air conditioning and many other upgrades. It’s in excellent overall condition as well with a mere 8,000 miles on the mechanical overhaul.
Driven Only 8,000 Miles since Mechanical Overhaul
The current owner informs us that this 1951 GMC 5 Window 2 Door Pickup took possession last year as the 3rd lifetime owner and he informs us that virtually every aspect of the drivetrain has been upgraded or replaced since taking ownership. With a mere 8k total miles on the ’91 Chevy S10 frame, this pickup drives like a modern sports truck with the handling and reliability you’d expect from a build of this caliber. The drivetrain also has an exceptional power to torque ratio and it really moves when prompted- the quality of this build cannot be understated.
Additionally, this 1951 GMC 5 Window 2 Door Pickup looks excellent in person with very nice body lines and above average chrome work. There are a few minor imperfections to be found in the paint and this pickup can be driven guilt-free since that’s what it was built for. Meanwhile, the fully custom interior is simply gorgeous with new gauges and accessories; the tan on green color combo really works and the plush bench seating is in great condition. We haven’t seen a build of this caliber for quite some time within this price range.
An Incredible Value at the Current Asking Price
Overall, this 1951 GMC 5 Window Pickup is one of the most pristine high end drivers we’ve come across in quite some time and it’s reliable performance is truly second to none. Legal Disclosures: Specialty Sales Classics has advertised and sold thousands of classic cars since our founding in 1978. Given the age of many of our vehicles, it is extremely difficult to adequately describe all aspects of each vehicles condition in the limited space available and we have learned that these Pre-Purchase Inspections are helpful to all parties involved.
