Impressive 1939 La Salle 50 Convertible Sedan

New to our Benicia showroom is this impressive 1939 La Salle 50 4 Door Convertible Sedan with Monterey Blue Luminescent paint and a matching blue vinyl interior. It features a 322 CI V-8 engine under the hood with a factory 3 speed manual transmission, and it also comes equipped with an electric fuel pump as well. This beautiful sedan is highly original throughout and it is a fantastic classic automobile in every sense of the word.

Older Restoration Still in Very Original Condition

The current owner of this 1939 La Salle 50 Convertible purchased it about two years ago and he informs us that it is an older restoration that has been very nicely cared for. It does have the factory transmission still under the hood but the 322 engine has been replaced with a period correct example. This beautiful sedan also has many of the original accessories installed as well as most of the original interior. It is a great find.

In terms of actual condition, this 1939 La Salle 50 Convertible does show some slight signs of wear, which can be expected for an older restoration. There is also some pitting visible in the front and side grille plates but otherwise, the metal work is in excellent shape. Mechanically, this ’39 La Salle runs like a champion with solid acceleration and a superior overall feel; it is an excellent driver that’s still nice enough to draw plenty of attention.

Overall, this 1939 La Salle 50 Convertible is in very nice original shape and it really stands out at local shows. With only a handful of these premium classics vehicles still in existence, it would be almost impossible to locate a more prestigious example anywhere near the current asking price.
