Here we have an essentially brand new 2003 Porsche GT2 and half the original price tag. This GT2 has seen only 4,514 miles and just two owners with the second owner in possession of the car for the past 6 years. This is a concourse quality car that shows no signs of age or wear and has been garaged its entire life by two passionate owners.Ordered in Artic Silver Metallic (L92U) over a black leather interior this GT2fly's under the radar to the casual observer and carries over many characteristics from the 911 Turbo; however this car is everythinga Turbo 911 is and then some.According to Porsche's senior project manager, Hartmut Kristen, "the GT2 should do for the Turbo what the GT3 has done for the naturally aspirated 911. It is even more powerful than the Turbo, and it is a lot sportier, as well as more raw-edged. This is not a centerline product. Instead, the GT2 is the ultimate 911 for serious drivers."
Sitting over the rear axle lies a 3.6L horizontally opposed turbocharged six cylinder engine capable of producing 456 horsepower and 457 foot pounds of torque through the 6 speed manual transmission.A dead stop to 60mph takes just 4.1 seconds and an all out top speed of 196 lies ahead for the willing participant. The yellow Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes, six-piston calipers up front and four-piston calipers in the rear, scream performance and let you know this is no ordinary 911. Unlike the Spartan GT3, the 3175-pound GT2 is kitted out with air conditioning, full leather trim, a CD stereo, power windows and door locks, and driver and passenger front and side air bags. To save weight, the rear seats have been replaced bya carpeted shelf but with performance like this you will want to be the only one in the car anyway.
