This 1998 Ford Explorer was produced by Saleen and features a factory installed supercharger, along with Saleen aerodynamic kit and upgraded suspension. Coving the entire car is glossy black paint that is still in very good condition, while along the rockers you will find the traditional Saleen silver lettering that cunningly lets others know this is not your typical Explorer. The interior is a light grey leather and is also in excellent condition with plenty of room for cargo and five passengers. Fitted with full RaceCraft suspension with front and rear sway bars that drops the vehicle 2" from the stock ride height , the Explorer takes on better handling characteristics and also includes 18" light weight magnesium wheels. Other improvements include a cold air intake and Borla exhaust to liven up the exhaust note and increase performance of the Supercharged 5.0L V8.

There were only 265 Saleen vehicles manufactured in 1998 and of the 265 only 56 were XP8 Explorers. This aggressive looking Explorer is #0013 and was 1 of 6 produced in these exact color options, and there were only 15 produced in black to begin with, making this Saleen Explorer a rare breed. Only 125 explorers were made and the first 20 were give exclusively to Ford executives and employees, leaving the remaining vehicles with high price tags and a limited supply. The current owner of this Saleen Explorer XP8 was one of the lucky people to come across this rare SUV and has owned this vehicle for the past 6 years and kept her in great condition.
