Exceptionally clean 1985 Mercedes-Benz 380SL that will have you scratching your head as you try to figure out how the overall condition and odometer reading correlate. With a documented 254,908 miles on the clock, this Mercedes drives and looks as if we accidently added an extra digit to the odometer statement. Painted in a factory color called Light Ivory (code 623) this 380 SL displays a yellowish hue that compliments the light brown interior that you will find inside the cabin. The wood veneer dash is in excellent condition and all of the gauges and accessories are in good working order, including the air conditioning.

Purchased in February of 2008 by the current owner with 247,946 miles on the odometer this SL has seen just under 7,000 miles since. Meticulously cared for by the previous owners this 380 SL has been through both a complete top-end engine overhaul, and a complete transmission rebuild. The 3.8L V8 was rebuilt by Autohaus Zdenek in San Carlos, CA with a reported mileage reading of 240,351 at a cost of $5,924.92; while the transmission was rebuilt just two months later in December of 2001 with 242,725 miles at the same location for a total cost of $2,311.75. Other recent service includes all new brake rotors and pads for all four wheels, as well as new front calipers, all of which was done just 1,000 miles ago.
