1982 Chevrolet Corvette 2 Door Coupe

Restored to showroom quality this 1982 Chevrolet Corvette Collector Edition is the only third-generation Corvette with fuel injection and was a limited production run with only 6,759 examples produced. Painted a unique Silver Beige metallic paint with hood and side decals, there was a plethora of small details and options added to the Collector's Edition model separating it from your run of the mill Corvette. At the heart of this Corvette sits a 5.7L V8 with Cross-Fire Injection that gave the L83 engine a 10 horse boost, bringing the total output to 200 horsepower and generating 283 pounds of torque, all while making the engine more fuel efficient as well. Some of the improved fuel economy came from the use of taller gearing, but the addition of a new 700R-4 automatic transmission helped recoup some of the lost performance. This particular Corvette features a rebuilt torque convertor and transmission, along with new rear leaf springs, new front and rear bushings, new decals, and all new hoses and belts. Inside this Collector Edition's cabin things have been completely redone as well with the addition of new beige leather bucket seats, new steering wheel, fresh beige carpet, new window switches, and a replacement dash that has this Corvette looking like new again. As the last of the C3 Corvettes, and with no Corvettes being produced in 1983, the Collector Edition model has truly lived up to its name and will continue to become a sought after Corvette for years to come.
