The 1982 Chevrolet Corvette was the last year for the Stingray/ Shark body style, which had been fitted on all Corvette chassis for the past 15 years. This Collectors Edition Corvette is one of 6,759 cars produced to commensurate the end of this ever popular body style. All '82 Corvettes received the 350 C.I. fuel injected V8 "Crossfire" engine that produced 200-hp and featured a new 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive. Distinguishing themselves from the other 25,407 Corvettes produced in 1982, these Collectors Edition models were painted with special Silver Beige (Code 59) paint and featured unique decals on the hood and body, as well as accent pin-striping. The interior also received matching silver-beige colored leather seats and door trim, along with upgraded carpet.
This Corvette is accident free and features a straight dent-less body. There is some slight spider-webbing on the middle portion of the fiberglass hood; however this is easily concealed with a new decal as part of the Collectors Edition's trim package. The interior shows some minor wear in the seats, but the current owner does have a brand new set of seats that are available for purchase. The carpets and remainder of the interior are in very good condition. This is a great example of a low mileage 1982 Corvette that was well taken care of and simply a victim of the current owner's lack of storage space.
