Rare European 1979 Mercedes 450SL Roadster

New to our Fairfield showroom is this gorgeous 1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SL 2 Door Roadster that was imported from Berlin, West Germany. It is Teal with a Tan interior and this impressive sports car features a 4.5L V-8 engine under the hood with a 4-speed automatic transmission. It is also nicely equipped with A/C, power everything, the rare optional factory hard top, the factory soft top, alloy wheels and so much more. It is simply a spectacular example of an increasingly difficult classic to find.

Imported from Berlin, West Germany

The current owner of this 1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SL informs us that he is the 3rd owner and it was imported back in 1983. This beautiful sports car also came with full documentation back to when it was new, but we will warn you that it is printed in German. Since that time, it underwent a high end repaint and the current owner has kept it in top condition as a regular driver, so its ready for the open road today.

What makes this 1979 Mercedes-Benz 450SL so special is that it has literally travelled halfway around the globe to arrive at our showroom. The European models had smaller bumpers and very few of them came with the factory hard top, so there are very few examples in the US of this caliber.
