We want to provide an update to our most valued customers regarding the current situation with COVID-19.
With the shelter in place order in effect, we have closed all three showrooms to the public. However, we have ensured all of our sales staff are able perform their jobs from home to the fullest extent. For any inquiries of any vehicle offered for sale or potential consignment, please contact the showroom you would like to reach, and our staff will be more than able to help with any information or details you require.
With our showrooms closed to the public we are adhering to a strict appointment only policy for anyone who may need to look at a vehicle or potentially consign one on site. We want to minimize as much contact, so we ask that you please commit to an appointment and that you are serious about looking at a car. If you are wanting to consign a vehicle, we ask that you send us as much information over the phone and email so we can evaluate your vehicle before you bring it down to one of our locations. You will find all relevant contact information on this email so feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
Our service department in our Fairfield location will be fully operational as an Essential Business and will adhere to our schedule of M-F 9am - 5:30pm. For any service-related questions please give us a call at (707) 419-8209.
We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in these challenging times, and we want to thank you for your support now and over the years and look forward to serving you in the years to come.
New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 2 Door T-Top with black exterior paint, gold graphics and a matching gold interior. You’ll find what the owner believes is a factory-true 403 cid V-8 engine under the hood with an automatic transmission and this desirable sports car is very nicely documented with 96,155 original lifetime miles. In fact, this example is in 100% original, unrestored condition as a genuine survivor and it is ready to enjoy it’s second life with a new owner.
A True California, One-Owner Survivor /w 96k Miles
This 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am T-Top was purchased new by the current owner in Morgan Hill, California and it has remained here throughout its lifetime so far. We are informed that it is a 100% numbers-matching, factory correct example that has never received any modifications or alterations, which aligns with what we see under the hood and throughout. The current owner has driven and enjoyed this example for over 40 years and has a lifetime of documentation to show proper care. We also have the original owner’s manual on file as well.
In terms of condition, this 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am shows moderate signs of wear and tear since it has never been restored at any point in its life. You are looking at the original factory paint and decals in these photographs, both of which could benefit from being refreshed (paint & a few small dents) at some point down the road. The interior and engine bay are around an average driver’s quality as well with some minor blemishes and imperfections but nothing serious that really detracts from this classic’s appeal.
Simply a Nicely Documented, One-Owner Classic
Overall, this 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am 2 Door T-Top is one of the most impressive true survivors that we’ve ever seen and it is a fantastic opportunity at the current asking price. With an increased demand for these hard-to-find survivors in recent years, this gorgeous example will find a new home quickly. Legal Disclosures: Specialty Sales Classics has advertised and sold thousands of classic cars since our founding in 1978. We strongly encourage any and all buyers who are unable to view the vehicle in-person to perform a Pre-Purchase Inspection (by an independent party of their choosing) prior to the purchase. Given the age of many of our vehicles, it is extremely difficult to adequately describe all aspects of each vehicles condition in the limited space available and we have learned that these Pre-Purchase Inspections are helpful to all parties involved.
The information presented for this vehicle is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed as a basis of purchase. The Buyer should make a thorough, independent inspection and investigation of the vehicle prior to purchase.
