Outstanding Original 1978 Cadillac Seville Elegante

The next amazing classic up for grabs in our Fairfield showroom is this gorgeous 1978 Cadillac Seville Elegante 4 Door Sedan with Sable Black and Platinum exterior paint and an amazing grey leather interior.  You’ll find the factory 350 cid fuel injected V-8 engine under the hood paired with a factory Turbo-Hydra-matic 3 speed automatic transmission, cold air conditioning, power front disc brakes, power mirrors/locks/windows, power steering, cruise control, premium wheels, the factory radio and so much more.  This outstanding example has a mere 27,658 original lifetime miles on the odometer and it is in phenomenal overall condition both inside and out.

This 1978 Cadillac Seville Elegante Sedan has a beautiful life story- the original owner special ordered this beauty from Tutwiler Cadillac in Indianapolis and took possession on April 18th, 1978.  It was a surprise gift for his wife and had a special Cadillac Dedication Plaque inscribed to "Eva May" placed on the dashboard.  For the next 35+ years, this special vehicle was garaged at their family winter home in Boca Raton, Florida and only enjoyed a few weeks per year.  With a production run limited to 5,000 Elegante editions back in 1978 to cater to ultra-high end clientele, this is likely the nicest survivor nationwide at this time due to its incredible care over the past 40 years. 

The 2nd owner of this 1978 Cadillac Seville Elegante took possession in 2015 and maintained the same incredibly high standards.  He has converted this beautiful sedan over to R134a with a new A/C compressor, plus updated the headlamps to halogen and tinted the windows.  This amazing vehicle drives like a brand new classic and the ride quality is truly second to none- it glides down the open road exactly like a well-kept Cadillac should.  The interior is also immaculate with almost no discernable signs of wear anywhere and the factory paint is still well above average.

Additionally, the “Eva May” placard is still in place on the dashboard; which has unofficially become this prestigious classic’s name for many decades now.  We also have the original dealer’s showroom album with all his notes for the factory build, including his section drawing of the unique Elegante chrome molding which was ordered for this special vehicle.  The overall documentation is excellent and makes this classic all the more appealing.
