This vehicle is displayed in our San Carlos California Showroom (650) 326-1000.
This 1977 Harley Davidson Police Special Electra Glide recently received a complete tune-up at 11,000 miles that included a new battery, new tire, brakes, chain, sprockets, and basic inspection. Painted a dark blue with many chrome accents this 1977 shovelhead features an electric starter which was a great improvement over kick starts. Powered by a 74 cubic inch V-twin with a 4 speed transmission the Shovelhead designed Harley engine, named after its rocker covers resembling that of an inverted coal shovel head, took off from the Panhead design. The Shovelhead produced a more unique look and was slightly more powerful than the Panhead. Other improvements on this classic Harley include a chrome swing arm, upgraded clutch pack, a new speedometer, and Andrews Gears.
Legal Disclosures: Specialty Sales Classics has advertised and sold thousands of classic cars since our founding in 1978. We strongly encourage any and all buyers who are unable to view the vehicle in-person to perform a Pre-Purchase Inspection (by an independent party of their choosing) prior to the purchase. Given the age of many of our vehicles, it is extremely difficult to adequately describe all aspects of each vehicles condition in the limited space available and we have learned that these Pre-Purchase Inspections are helpful to all parties involved.
The information presented for this vehicle is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed as a basis of purchase. The Buyer should make a thorough, independent inspection and investigation of the vehicle prior to purchase.
