Eye-Popping 1972 Datsun 240Z Hatchback

New to our Pleasanton showroom is this beautiful 1972 Datsun 240Z 2 Door Hatchback with bright red exterior paint and a black cloth interior.  This Japanese classic sports car features a late model 280Z 2.8L six-cylinder engine under the hood with a five-speed manual transmission, plus modern plugs/wires, upgraded intakes, new tires and so much more.  This highly desirable classic looks great in person and it drives even better than it looks.  It will not remain available for long at the current asking price.

Super Clean w/ 2,000 Miles on Rebuilt Motor

The current owner of this 1972 Datsun 240Z Hatchback purchased it back in 1998 from the original owner.  He informs us that this beautiful classic had some restoration around the turn of the century and has been well maintained since that time.  The engine has also been rebuilt within the last 2,000 miles so this one drives great on the open road, with very nice acceleration and smooth handling at virtually any speed.  Under the hood is the larger 2.8L motor with triple Webers, and mainly cosmetic upgrades like K&N style air intakes.

The interior of this 1972 Datsun 240Z Hatchback also appears to be mostly stock with an exceptional dash and all the correct working gauges.  This is one of the cleanest examples that we’ve come across in years and it doesn’t need anything to be enjoyed immediately.  The exterior paint does show a few slight blemishes and the engine compartment could use a little freshening- otherwise it’s exceptional throughout.
