Tough, Rugged 1971 Toyota Land Cruiser

New to our Fairfield showroom is this simply spectacular 1971 Toyota Land Cruiser 2 Door Sport Utility Vehicle with Forest Green exterior paint and a green/black interior. It features a 4-bolt main 350 Chevy V-8 engine under the hood with an M22 Rock Crusher 4-speed transmission, an Edelbrock Aluminum intake, a Holley 500 CFM 4 BBL carburetor, a Hurst shifter, custom headers with a dual exhaust, plus a new brake system, a new radiator, new shocks and hundreds of other upgrades. This beauty was fully restored during a frame off restoration within the last 4,000 miles and it is in amazing overall condition.

Incredible Frame-Off Restoration w/ Extensive Upgrades

The current owner of this 1971 Toyota Land Cruiser went so far above and beyond on this one by sandblasting the frame down to bare metal and then rebuilding this awesome outdoors machine piece by piece. It has beautiful two-stage paint with an undercoated fiberglass roof (to dampen sound), a custom roll cage, custom sideboards, a Lakewood scatter shield, warn locking hubs and a warn electric winch, an undercoated body and far too many other improvements to fully list. Then it had almost every major mechanical component either replaced or rebuilt, plus completely reupholstered interior, all new belts/hoses, a new fuel tank/lines and so forth.

The frame off restoration of this 1971 Toyota Land Cruiser is about three years old (4,000 miles ago) and it has definitely seen some action since that time period. But at the same time, the current owner took great care to keep this beauty in excellent condition, and there are some minor signs of visible wear in the paint and the interior. Mechanically though, this one is an absolute beast and we wouldn’t hesitate to take it anywhere...it has an excellent torque/power ratio and it drives excellent on the streets or off-road alike.

It Simply Begs to Be Driven Off-Road

Overall, this 1971 Toyota Land Cruiser is one of the nicest examples we’ve ever seen and that’s certainly saying quite a lot.
