This 1971 Porsche 911 Targa is a California car that features all original pans and recently underwent a complete engine rebuild that saw the original 2.2L engine replaced by a larger, 2.4L 911 engine that was released in the following year in 1972. The 2.4L E engine has been built to "S" specifications with the pistons adjusted to meet the same compression ratio found in the "S" engine. The original engine is still available, but will likely need a rebuild in the future. With 60k miles on the chassis and only 15k miles on the 2.4L engine this Porsche will provide years of trouble free driving and needs only basic maintenance. Other improvements include larger 911 "S" brakes and suspension that has been completely gone through providing for a rigid, yet smooth ride. The original Zenith carburetors gave been rebuilt and provide for smooth acceleration with good throttle response. Painted Gaurds red over a black interior the 1971 911 Targa features a great body with all seams and doors lining up perfectly flush.
