1971 Datsun 240Z 2 Door Coupe

This classic 1971 Datsun 240 Z has seen a number of improvements making it faster, lower, stiffer, and just simply better than the original 240 Z. The stock 2.4L SOHC inline six engine was a brilliant engine; however this Z was built to perform and more power is always better. Sitting under the bonnet is now an impressive 3.1L inline six stroker motor that was built with the aid of a 280Z block and Maxima Diesel crank, keeping the cars mechanicals in the Nissan/Datsun family. Feeding air into the motor is a set of triple Mukini carburetors that have been recently adjusted by Z Car Garage in San Jose, CA who also performed an oil change and basic tune up of this Z before arriving in our showroom. The transmission is now a five speed manual unit that has been fitted with a 8.5 pound flywheel for improved acceleration, yet because of the increased torque the stroker motor produces, this 240 Z can be driven in even the most mild manner if desired. Fitted on all corners is a set of Willwood disc brakes with steel brake lines and stylish Panasport wheels. The suspension has been firmed up with a set of Ground Control coilovers with camber plates and polyurethane bushings throughout. There were no components overlooked or corners cut when it came to building this Datsun, although with its current modifications we are sure you will enjoy carving up some back roads sitting in the drivers seat.

Painted a pearl off-white color this Datsun 240Z has good paint and body panels throughout, with just some minor scuffs on the lower front spoiler. The black interior is in very good condition and was recently upholstered with a new headliner, carpets and seats. Even the black dash is free of any cracks or excessive wear. There are no signs of common rust issues that plague these cars in areas such as the battery box and rear deck lid tray (replaced with new metal). If you are looking for an affordable sports car that is already a classic this Datsun 240 Z will provide tons of driving excitement and will hold its value in the process.
