The current owner of this 1970 Mercury Cougar XR7 Hardtop acquired it back in 2015 and he informs us that it originally sold in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as one of 35 total examples built with the legendary 428 Cobra Jet engine and the Top-Loader manual transmission.  This classic underwent a painstaking, no-expense-spared multiyear restoration effort as well, which transformed the body, trim and interior back to new condition while completely overhauling the factory correct drivetrain.  The power front disc brakes have been upgraded to Wilwood disc brakes on all four corners and you’ll also find major upgrades to the suspension, drivetrain and accessories. 

The performance of this 1970 Mercury Cougar XR7 is absolutely outstanding and it is believed to be one of the few remaining examples worldwide with these desirable specifications.
