Simply Stunning 1970 Chevrolet El Camino Pickup
New to our Benicia showroom is this stunning 1970 Chevrolet El Camino 2 Door Pickup with a two-toned Sage Green exterior paint and a black leather interior. This beauty underwent a two-year restoration during the summer of 2015 which included rebuilding the numbers-matching 350 V-8 and Turbo 350 automatic transmission, adding ceramic coated headers, a custom exhaust and a 12-bolt rear end, installing new gauges/trim, custom paint, a killer sound system and rebuilding every factory component on this amazing vehicle. It comes with factory A/C, power steering, power front disc brakes, a spray in bed liner, 17” wheels and far too many other customizations to list.
Underwent a 2-Year, $45,000 Complete Restoration
The current owner of this 1970 Chevrolet El Camino purchased it in 2011 with the intentions of keeping it numbers-matching but going far above and beyond what this truck was from the factory. The engine was balanced and blueprinted by Gerlome Racing to deliver approximately 400 horsepower. It also received custom two-tone paint and new upholstery throughout, plus a new suspension (front and rear), new wiring, custom pin striping, a custom spray bed liner (which matches the paint), and an awesome 6 disc CD changer with an amp and new speakers.
Additionally, this beautiful pickup is a two-owner, black plate CA classic that includes the factory sport chrome package (which has been completely restored). It has been driven a mere 1,000 miles since the restoration and this one is in like-new condition throughout; except that it’s definitely better than new thanks to the boost in drivability. Out on the open road, this desirable pickup has awesome acceleration, tight handling and just a great overall feel. It’s exactly what you’d expect out of a high end muscle car.
One of the Nicest You’ll Ever See in this Price Range
Overall, this 1970 Chevrolet El Camino is one of the nicest resto-mods we have seen in quite some time and it is nice enough to show on virtually any stage. The current asking price does not even cover the build costs for this exceptional pickup, so do not expect for it to remain available for long. It’s simply too nice with too much invested to last.
