Built as an entry to the mid-size muscle car battle in 1964, the Chevrolet Chevelle was Chevrolet's competition to the Pontiac GTO and increasing popularity of the Ford Mustang. When the Chevelle first debuted engine options were fairly light, a 327 V8 rated at 300 bhp was the highest power plant available. Quickly Chevrolet realized that more power options were needed for its mid-size muscle car and the next generation Chevelles delivered on the message. Buyers of the 1970 Chevelles had the greatest number of options when it came to engines. One of the most popular was the SS396 375 hp package.

This 1970 Chevelle SS396 comes to us from the cars 4th owner. Originally purchased from Dublin Chevrolet in Dublin, CA, this Chevelle has been in the Bay Area all of its life. The current owner purchased it 2 years ago from the 3rd owner who had the car for almost 20 years.

Hands down, this is one of the best driving Chevelles that we have had to date. The black racing stripes on white paint look amazing when cruising down the street. Dont miss this one.
