1969 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500 2 Door Fastback

1969 Mustang Shelby GT500 with 428 Cobra Jet. In the early 2000s the owner at the time didn't want to take a chance of damaging the rare motor. He had a special 428 Cobra Jet built at the cost of $27,400.00 It is high performance with a min of 500 hp. The original 428 Cobra Jet was removed in order to preserve it. It is beautiful, has low miles on it and it sits on an engine stand ready to come with this car. It was repainted the stock color approximately 30 years ago. Although it has very few small chips the paint is beautiful. It has a custom steering column and steering wheel. It also has the original steering column and wheel. The original steering wheel is the wood grain wheel with the snake in the center. There is a fascinating history to this car. It has the original build sheet from when Shelby delivered it to Cutter Ford Sales, Inc. in North Hollywood ca.

It was bought new by the owner of the Riviera Hotel of Las Vegas. It was owned by NBA player Kiki Vandeweghe who had turned it over to his brother. There is email conversation with Kiki talking about the car he loves. He has over the years owned 10 of these cars at one time or another.
