Truly Impressive 1968 Mercedes Benz 250S Sedan

New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1968 Mercedes Benz 250S 4 Door Sedan with simply beautiful Burgundy exterior paint and a black leather interior.  You’ll find a factory correct 2.5L six-cylinder engine under the hood that’s paired to a numbers-matching 4-speed automatic transmission, and this particular example did have the transmission professionally rebuilt a few years ago to keep it in excellent running condition.  This one needs to be seen in person to truly appreciate since it has been maintained at incredible levels throughout its lifetime.

Beautifully Documented with Very Light Restoration

The current owner has enjoyed this 1968 Mercedes Benz 250S Sedan since 2016 when he acquired it as the 2^nd lifetime owner.  He informs us that he was drawn to this particular example due to it being almost 100% original throughout with excellent documentation dating back decades.  Since taking ownership, he’s had the transmission rebuilt and replaced the weather-stripping and moldings around the windows, plus installed new carpeting.  Otherwise, it sits today exactly as it left the factory showroom in San Francisco over 52 years ago.

Additionally, this 1968 Mercedes Benz 250S Sedan shows excellent in person with a great shine to the exterior paint and only the slightest of visible imperfections.  The body aligns nicely and you’ll be impressed with all the chrome and trim as well.  Also, the leather interior shows no patina and the interior is as clean as we’ve ever seen, with a beautiful wooden dash and working factory gauges.  This sedan is also a pleasure to drive as well with nice acceleration and smooth handling- it’s definitely a luxury vehicle that was built to be driven & enjoyed.
