Pristine '67 Fastback Mustang

Up for sale today is one of the nicest classics that we've seen anywhere this month"and that's really saying something. It's a 1967 Ford Mustang two door Fastback with Colorado Red paint and a deluxe black interior. With a roaring 302 CI V-8 engine and an upgraded 5-speed manual transmission under the hood, this gorgeous vehicle performs like a modern vehicle yet still has its classic eye appeal as well. At 80 MPH, this Mustang cruises at 2300 RPM's with ample power to take it to an entirely different level.

Complete Nut & Bolt Restoration

This 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback underwent a complete nut and bolt restoration about two years ago where it was stripped down and complete rebuilt with new, certified parts. The undercarriage was restored with all new bushings and mounts plus it has new leaf springs, ball joints, upper control arms, shocks and brakes. The 302 engine was completely rebuilt as well at .30 over and it has Performer RPM heads (w/ 2.02 valves), a 1.6 aluminum roller rocker and a new ignition, distributor, water pump, etc. The five speed manual T-5 transmission is also upgraded with a new McLeod clutch; every mechanical part has been completely restored, replaced or upgraded during this build including the 3.89 posi gears and a 9" Ford rear end.

In terms of cosmetic condition, this 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback is equally impressive shape. The lifetime CA body was stripped down to bare metal and it was virtually perfect. Likewise, every panel was taken off and painted separately and this beauty has new weather stripping, bumpers, brackets, trim and glass all the way around. The upgraded black deluxe interior is also new so this is likely the nicest overall Mustang that you've seen in quite some time.

Almost Too Nice to Sell

The current owner of this 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback rebuilt this beauty piece by piece with no intention of ever selling it. Price was absolutely no object during the build because he wanted a world-class driver that could be shown anywhere with a solid chance of taking the top prize. Because it was to be a stellar driver, absolutely everything works on this Mustang as well; the flashers, high beams, indicator lights, and windshield wipers are all brand new.

In other words, the cost of this project was astronomical and the results are simply breathtaking. The only reason why this classic pony is for sale today is because the current owner never has enough time to drive it. If you're interested, we suggest that you act quickly before he comes to his senses and realizes that he'll never find another as nice as this one.

A Superior Overall Driver

Overall, this 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback is far and away the nicest example we've seen in years and it may be the most complete restoration in our showroom at this time. For someone looking for a pristine driver that could easily qualify for "Best in Show," there is no reason to look any further. While this gorgeous Mustang is at a premium, it is an absolute steal at the current asking price because six figures probably couldn't reproduce it.
