30618 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback
This 1967 fastback mustang has all the great look and feel of the more expensive versions without the price tag. Finished in blue and changed to a black interior from the original blue as the owner felt as though it was a little too much for the vehicle. It gives it a nice contrast now with the blue on black. The paint was recently done, and it shows, it shines bright with a great depth to it. The chrome work appears bright and not tarnished. And the engine bay which houses the peppy I6 was recently detailed and gone through to ensure it looked as good under the hood as it did on the outside. The interior was recently refreshed as well with the headliner, seats, and carpets being replaced. The dash and instruments appear to be original or close to it and while showing some age are overall fairly nice. The only thing needed to complete this interior is a radio and you in the drivers seat!
The 200 I6 which has 120hp and 156 ft/lb of torque is what is purring between this stallions fenders. Its so smooth and quiet that its almost like driving an electric car when you start it up. And it may not be the fastest but it sure gets you where you want to go without getting you in trouble. All that power is transferred to the wheels by the factory floor mounted 3 speed manual Saginaw transmission which is all you need for this Inline 6. It shifts smoothly and without grinds and performs just as needed in this beautiful mustang. This is what some may call a "bare bones" car, meaning it is a simply optioned vehicle. Considering of manual steering and manual drum brakes all the way around. Once you get going the manual steering is almost forgotten and the drum brakes perform well and have no problems getting this pony to stop.
This mustang was built in Dearborn, Michigan and was ordered to San Jose, CA.It is believed that it has spent its entire life as a local car with the only things being changed the interior color as well as a change to a darker blue exterior. The current owner bought the vehicle as an all original car and has had the interior, paint, engine bay freshen up, and all maintenance performed recently and to bring the car back to a nice driver quality muscle car.
