New to our Pleasanton showroom is this  1965 Pontiac GTO 2 Door Convertible with blue exterior paint, a black soft top and a match black vinyl interior.  Under the hood you’ll find a factory correct 389 cid Tri-Power V-8 engine configured with a single carburetor and a Turbo 350 Automatic transmission, plus this classic has been nicely sorted in recent years with coil springs, a new water pump and aluminum radiator, plus new brakes and master cylinder.

This 1965 Pontiac GTO Convertible has been enjoyed by the current owner for the past two years and he was drawn to this example because of the factory-correct drivetrain, nice documentation and solid overall performance.  The body shows well some imperfections but a a nice looking car.  The chrome, trim, glass and convertible top are all in very nice condition.  You’ll also find a very original interior with deluxe seating and only minor levels of wear.

Additionally, this 1965 Pontiac GTO Convertible delivers excellent performance from the factory 389 V-8 and Turbo 350 transmission.  The engine compartment has some modest chrome accents to spruce up the factory-true drivetrain that’s only been lightly refreshed.  This muscle car accelerates, handles and stops as expected in a desirable example and it does not need anything to be enjoyed immediately as a driver.  Other types of collectors may prefer to fully restore this classic to something truly special.
