New to our Benicia showroom is this beautiful, eye-catching 1965 Ford Mustang 2 Door Convertible with Poppy Red exterior paint, a Palomino top and a matching Palomino Pony interior with custom gauges.  You’ll find a 351 Windsor V-8 engine under the hood with Cleveland heads, a 4bbl carburetor and an aluminum intake, a nice cam, custom built headers, dual exhaust and a built C6 automatic transmission.  This incredible build also has a custom aluminum radiator, electric fans, air conditioning, 4-wheel disc brakes, front/rear sway bars, an upgraded Shelby suspension with a Ford 9” rear end and so much more- the build quality is simply spectacular throughout.

High-End Performance Build Completed Back in 1998 

The current owner of this 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible took possession all the way back in 1985 and he enjoyed this classic as a typical driver for several years before deciding to turn it into something truly special.  It was fully overhauled approximately 23 years ago with extensive performance upgrades and a high level cosmetic restoration that touched every inch of this classic muscle car.  As you can see from the photographs, the exterior is gleaming with show-quality paint, gorgeous trim, excellent chrome and some really nice aftermarket wheels.
