Additionally, the powerful engine has a 10:1 compression ratio and the build is finished off with Billet polished pulleys, a Ford Racing Clutch kit, Flowmaster mufflers, a Ford 8” rear end, with Auburn posi-traction, American Racing torque thrust wheels and far too many other specs to list. Original San Jose, California Black & Yellow Plate Classic
This 1965 Ford Mustang was brought to Carriage House Performance in 2003 where it underwent a five year, complete nut and bolt restoration that totaled over $45,000 in parts and labor. The Ford racing motor produces 390 HP and 360 ft. lbs. of torque a 5,000 RPM’s, plus it received a custom NOS system to boost those numbers even higher. However, it has never once been driven with nitrous since the restoration 2,456 miles ago.
Inside the cabin you’ll find a Flaming River tilt column steering, a Grant steering wheel, custom seating with a completely new interior (as of the build completion in 2009), JME Enterprises and Pro-Comp gauges and more. This nicely complements the $10k paint job on the exterior, a GT350 fiberglass hood, plus all new bumpers, chrome work, glass, moldings, etc. We did manage to find a paint chip or two but otherwise, this incredible build borders on perfection.
Topped $45,000 in Parts/Labor Over Five Year Build
Overall, this is easily one of the most extensive, over the top performance builds that we’ve ever seen on a 1965 Ford Mustang and this one would be equally impressive on the track or at local shows. This one is being sacrificed at an insanely conservative asking price as well and there’s simply no way that it remains available for long.
