Highly Desirable 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible

New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly original 1965 Ford Mustang C Code 2 Door Convertible with blue exterior paint and a matching blue and white vinyl 'Pony' interior.  You’ll find a factory “c-code” 289 cid V-8 engine under the hood with the numbers-matching automatic transmission This iconic muscle car has been driven and maintained by the same family since it left the showroom in Austin, Texas in 1965 with most of it life being spent in Northern California. This classic is in very nice and original overall condition, and is a true survivor as well. This classic Mustang is ready for the next owner to enjoy right now.

One-Owner Classic Originally Purchased in Austin, TX 

The current owner informs us that this 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible has remained in her family for the past 56 where it has been enjoyed the entire time.  As you can see from the photographs, the body alignment is excellent throughout and the exterior paint still has a lot of shine.  There are some scratches and other imperfections to be found, and the factory interior seating is well worn and could use replacement; fortunately, the original 'Pony' interior kits are readily available and make for a simple project to replace. The engine compartment is also driver-level in appearance since it has not been refreshed; only the factory transmission has been rebuilt over the years.

Additionally, this 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible drives well on the open road with factory equipment and technology.  For example, you’ll find the original AM radio still in place and factory consoles, gauges, shift knobs, etc. throughout.  The convertible top is manual and still operates correctly as well.  While the next owner may opt for new upholstery and carpet on the interior, this classic does not require anything to be driven and enjoyed now.
