Simply Sensational 1965 Ford Mustang ‘A Code’ Fastback

New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1965 Ford Mustang 2 Door Fastback with Silver Smoke Gray exterior paint plus a black & beige vinyl interior.  Under the hood you’ll find an “A-Code” 289 cid V-8 engine with a 4bbl carburetor, power steering, power front disc brakes and a 5-speed manual transmission, all of which was completely restored back in 2015.  This highly original classic muscle car is in tremendous condition as well with excellent performance and only minimal imperfection to be found.

Lifetime Bay Area Classic That Was Fully Restored in 2015

This 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback sold originally in San Jose, California and it is believed to be a lifetime Bay Area classic.  The current owner took possession back in 2019 and he was drawn to this particular example due to the completely stock interior and what appears to be a period-correct drivetrain with an authentic “A-code” VIN number.  A closer inspection shows this example repainted in the correct factory 'Silver Smoke Grey' with gorgeous body lines and only the slightest of imperfections to the otherwise flawless chrome and exterior.  The factory interior is also well above the typical driver’s standard with immaculate two-tone seating and a very clean factory instrument cluster.  This example would show nicely on virtually any stage and would also make an excellent high-end weekend driver.

Additionally, this 1965 Ford Mustang A Code Fastback delivers more than adequate performance with nice acceleration, plus solid handling and stopping power.  Out on the open road, acceleration is swift, and this classic muscle car simply has a great overall feel winding through the gears when prompted.  All badging and decals are also correct on this model and it is easily one of the more impressive examples that our team has come across over the last few years.  It needs nothing to be driven and enjoyed immediately since it has been cared for at the highest possible levels.
