Engine Specs:

289 V8 bored .030 over and stroked 3/8" to 331 cubic inches
Blueprint, machine (with torque plates) and balance entire engine assembly
Assemble engine using Clevite bearings and ARP rod, main and flex plate bolts
Forged aluminum pistons with moly rings. Compression ratio = 10.5:1
Install high volume oil pump with moly drive and crankshaft windage tray
Heavy port, valve bowl and polish work on original cast iron cylinder heads
Combustion chamber volumes equalized and surfaces polished
3 angle racing valve job with hardened seats and bronze guides for unleaded use
Install oversize 1.60 sstl. Exhaust and 1.94 intake valves with PC seals
Install Completion Cams valve springs, retainers and valve locks
Install heavy duty 3/8 screw-in style rocker arm studs
Install Comp Cams 268 High Energy camshaft and matching hydraulic livers
Install performance double row cam timing chain and degree in the cam
Install Comp Cams heavy duty roller tip rocker arms and HD push rods
Install Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake manifold and 1 carburetor spacer
Install polished 600cfm Holley 4010 carburetor with vacuum secondary and dual feed
Install free breathing high capacity 14 diameter K&N performance air filter
Install Pertronix breaker-less electronic ignition in re-curved stock distributor
Install Crane adjustable vacuum can on distributor for control of vacuum advance
Install Jacobs high energy ignition coil and 8mm spark plug wires
Install performance timing tape/marks on balancer for accurate timing
Install ported and hogged-out stock cast iron exhaust manifolds for max flow
Install 3 bolt exhaust cut-outs on main head pipes of dual exhaust system

The engine reliably delivers approx 350 horsepower on 92 octane pump gas and gets about 14 mpg in town and 17 mpg on the highway. It was engineered to be powerful, reliable and relatively fuel efficient while still retaining the original factory performance appearance. It looks stock but its not!
