Highly Original 1964 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible

New to our Pleasanton showroom is this iconic 1964 Ford Falcon Futura 2 Door Convertible with white exterior paint and a blue vinyl interior. The current owner claims that it features the factory original 260 V-8 engine under the hood with the numbers-matching automatic transmission, and this highly original classic still has many of its original accessories as well. With only 97,800 original miles, this is an excellent find that could really become something special in the right collector’s hands.

As most collectors know, the 1964 Ford Falcon Futura Convertible was the inspiration for the 1965 Mustang and these vehicles are highly sought after in original condition. The one before you today is a true survivor as well; it’s only had two owners before the current one bought it in 2015 and it looks like it has never been fully restored. In fact, this one still has many of the factory accessories still in place…somehow it’s managed to withstand the tests of time. Additionally, it comes with ample documentation to show a good bit of its life’s history.

In terms of actual condition, this 1964 Ford Falcon Futura Roadster certainly needs some cosmetic love and care. While the paint still has a very nice shine to it, there are some problem areas and the convertible top shows significant wear. The body panels appear to line up very nicely though and everything a collector seeks is here; the interior also looks pretty nice for being 52 years old and never restored. It still drives nicely as well and appears to be in solid mechanical condition.
