New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1959 Mercedes 190 SL 2 Door Roadster with silver exterior paint and a beautiful red leather interior.  You’ll find a factory correct 1.9L four-cylinder engine under the hood with a  four speed manual transmission.This beautiful classic had a complete overhaul of all mechanics (including re-boring of the cylinders, drivetrain, brand new brakes, etc) in the last 1000 miles.

 With  lifetime documentation and impressive care, this ’59 Mercedes is a truly gorgeous classic that will definitely stand out in one lucky collector’s garage.

Enjoyed by the Current Owner for 43+ Years 

The current owner of this 1959 Mercedes 190 SL Roadster purchased it all the way back in 1988 from the original owner.  He informs us that this example has remained almost entirely original its entire lifetime and was partially restored back in the 1990’s, including new paint and a refreshed interior.  We also have the original owner’s manual and ample receipts on file to show decades of proper care.  It still drives nicely on the open road and requires very little to be brought back up to show quality- this is a perfect candidate for a complete restoration or it can be enjoyed right away as a nice driver.

Additionally, this 1959 Mercedes 190 SL Roadster really impresses in person with laser straight body lines and a nice shine to the older repaint.  The original chrome and trim are also well above average with only slight blemishes that do not detract from this classic’s awesome curb appeal.  The soft top does have a small tear so that will eventually have to be replaced, but otherwise this example really stands out for its originality.  The interior is also super clean throughout with minimal levels of wear.

The engine compartment to this 1959 Mercedes 190 SL Roadster gives the appearance of typical driver quality- which is a pretty big deal for a 59 year original classic.  With a rebuilt 1.9L engine and exceptional everyday performance, it simply needs some light refreshing.  Wheels drums and brakes completely replaced in 2017.
