With only 4,364 1957 Buick Roadmaster Convertibles built, costing a substantial $4,066, even it its day this was a rare and desirable model that the ensuing decades have only enhanced. Often pictured in ads on small airstrips with the latest Beechcraft in the background the all new 1957 Roadmaster Series 70 featured the traditional Buick ventiports, four on each side, and chevrons on the rear quarters. Whereas all the other Roadmasters had nylon and cloth interiors, only the convertible came standard with rich leather. Unique to the Roadmaster was the extra luxury and safety of a padded instrument panel.
With V8 performance and such modern amenities as power steering, power brakes, power seats, power windows, an AM radio and a clock, what more is needed?
