1957 Packard 640K 2 Door Hardtop Coupe

This one-of-a-kind custom took over 8 years to create. A replica modeled after a mid 30's Mercedes-Benz 540K. Built on a 1957 Chrysler Hemi powered chassis with torsion bar suspension. All steel body completely hand built by a true craftsman. It all started with the grill shell and went from there. All body parts, shell and fenders were built out of cardboard and then each piece was individually hand rolled out of steel. Headlights, Bumper and Dashboard are from a '34 Buick. Tail lights were created from a conduit base and formed to perfection. Two-piece convertible top is multi use; the front section can fold back or remove, while the rear section will fold completely down. The body is amazingly straight and you would never know it was hand built. Once completed, it was finished in a striking Neo Classic Yellow.

Completed in 2000 and only driven 1400 miles since then. Powered by its original 392ci Chrysler Hemi V8, mated to a Packard 3 speed manual transmission that transfers the power to a highway friendly Mopar differential. Powder coated factory Chrysler wire wheels dressed with knock-off hub caps that are wrapped in smooth riding radial tires. Solid, strong and fun to drive.

Titled and Registered as a '57 Chrysler. Incredible attention to detail and a true labor of love. It was hand built by a gentleman for his handicapped brother to enjoy as a passenger. The doors are a bit longer and the rear trunk folds down to allow easy placement of his wheelchair. Indeed a very special "one-off" custom Neo Classic!
