Beautiful 1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible

New to our Redwood City showroom is this rare and desirable 1955 Ford Thunderbird 2 Door Convertible with factory red exterior paint, a white top and a matching red/white vinyl interior. This true survivor features the factory 292 V-8 engine under the hood with the numbers-matching automatic transmission, and it is equipped from the factory with A/C and many other features. This one is almost 100% factory original as well and it is the impossible to find non porthole model…which makes this a seriously desirable classic roadster.

True Survivor in Factory Original, Unrestored Condition

The current owner of this 1955 Ford Thunderbird Convertible informs us that it is a three-owner classic that he purchased all the way back in 1958. And over those past 57 years that it has been in his possession, the only things that have changed on this beauty are the stereo system, the water pump and the factory wire wheels (original pump and wheels included with sale). It also comes with an extra pair of fender skirts as well. In fact, this amazing sports car has been stored indoors on blocks for the vast majority of its life, just to keep the weight off the suspension and preserve it to the highest possible levels.

In terms of actual condition, the exterior factory paint does show several small dings and scratches and the interior has some moderate wear to it as well. This true survivor starts right up and performs nicely though, and the current owner tells us that nothing has been changed or restored other than the minor components that we mentioned earlier. It is simply an amazing classic roadster that’s likely being sold at a price far too conservative.

Overall, this exceedingly rare 1955 Ford Thunderbird Roadster is in very nice original, unmolested shape and it still performs admirably for a true survivor.
