Owned/Built by Founder of Bay Area Roadsters
This 1950 custom classic was built by Don Brusseau, a founder of the Bay Area Roadsters, out of a 1925 Model T pick up body and a Shelby seamless frame. It was originally built as a street racer but as Bay Area Roadsters grew and became more serious about competition; this beautiful roadster was evolved into the showpiece that you see today. It has taken countless 1 Place trophies across the years at San Francisco, San Mateo, San Jose and other destinations including the 1960 Oakland Roadster Show, where this vehicle took the coveted, "People's Choice" award.
Over the years, this 1950 Ford T-Bucket evolved several times under Brusseau as he sought perfection in this legendary local street rod. It was featured in a 4 page spread in the July 1960 issue of Hot Rod Magazine, which talked about how Brusseau had literally built this roadster by hand in a friend's nearby garage and eventually inside his own shop. From fabrication to paint to the beautiful header pipes, this vehicle was a labor of love.
