We want to provide an update to our most valued customers regarding the current situation with COVID-19.
With the shelter in place order in effect, we have closed all three showrooms to the public. However, we have ensured all of our sales staff are able perform their jobs from home to the fullest extent. For any inquiries of any vehicle offered for sale or potential consignment, please contact the showroom you would like to reach, and our staff will be more than able to help with any information or details you require.
With our showrooms closed to the public we are adhering to a strict appointment only policy for anyone who may need to look at a vehicle or potentially consign one on site. We want to minimize as much contact, so we ask that you please commit to an appointment and that you are serious about looking at a car. If you are wanting to consign a vehicle, we ask that you send us as much information over the phone and email so we can evaluate your vehicle before you bring it down to one of our locations. You will find all relevant contact information on this email so feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
Our service department in our Fairfield location will be fully operational as an Essential Business and will adhere to our schedule of M-F 9am - 5:30pm. For any service-related questions please give us a call at (707) 419-8209.
We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in these challenging times, and we want to thank you for your support now and over the years and look forward to serving you in the years to come.
Simply Amazing, Highly Original 1938 Ford 1-Ton Pickup
New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1938 Ford 1-Ton 2 Door Pickup with red exterior paint, black fenders/skirts and a black vinyl interior. You’ll find a factory-correct 221 cid V-8 engine under the hood with a matching 4-speed manual transmission that has a “granny gear” in 1st gear. The drivetrain and so much more is almost 100% original, making this one of the most delightful classic pickups you’ll discover this year.
This 1938 Ford Pickup has been enjoyed by the current owner since 2018 and he was drawn to this example due to the striking originality found throughout. The bed, rear bumper and the taillights have been reconfigured sometime in the past 25 years to make this a fully functional work truck or hauler since the detachable wooden framing can be removed completely. Other than that, this beautiful pickup has been scarcely modified over the past 80+ years and still performs at admirable levels. The current owner drove it from New York to California earlier this year!
Additionally, this 1938 Ford 1-Ton Pickup has been carefully maintained with original appearing flat red & black exterior paint that gives it a more vintage appearance, but it would not take much to have this example ready for local shows. All the chrome and trim are in good shape all the way around and the modest interior is very clean throughout. The engine bay also appears factory correct and many collectors would consider this a “perfect” lightly restored example that has a true survivor feel.
Driven from New York to San Francisco Earlier this Year
Overall, this 1938 Ford 1-Ton Pickup is an incredible beast of a work truck that’s ready to be driven and enjoyed right away. You won’t find a more original, tastefully maintained example anywhere on the current market at this asking price so come see this highly impressive classic today! Legal Disclosures: Specialty Sales Classics has advertised and sold thousands of classic cars since our founding in 1978. We strongly encourage any and all buyers who are unable to view the vehicle in-person to perform a Pre-Purchase Inspection (by an independent party of their choosing) prior to the purchase. Given the age of many of our vehicles, it is extremely difficult to adequately describe all aspects of each vehicles condition in the limited space available and we have learned that these Pre-Purchase Inspections are helpful to all parties involved.
