Fantastic 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu “Heavy Chevy” Coupe

The next roaring muscle car up for grabs in our Pleasanton showroom is this fantastic 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu 2 Door Coupe with orange exterior paint, black racing stripes and a black vinyl interior. It is a limited edition “Heavy Chevy” model as well and it comes equipped with a 350 cid V-8 engine and a 4-speed manual transmission. The current owner has recently overhauled this gorgeous vehicle within the past few years and it certainly makes an amazing first impression…it has to be seen in person to truly appreciate it.

Beautifully Restored as a Father/Son Project

The current owner of this This 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu purchased it as a gift for his son as a graduation present from mechanic’s school. They completely restored it together from the ground up including high quality paint, new chrome all the way around, fully refreshing the interior, rebuilding the drivetrain and going through the suspension, brakes, and every other aspect of this muscle car. So this one is in incredible shape throughout and it performs like a much newer muscle car.
In case you’re not familiar with the “Heavy Chevy” upgrade package, it was a limited 6,727 production run of stock Malibu’s that came with custom racing stripes, a domed sports hood with tie-down pins, an upgraded front/rear suspension, special 14” Rally wheels, Heavy Chevy badging and a black front accent grille. The vehicle before you is one of those few surviving examples and it is one of the nicest you’ll find anywhere within this price range.
