Beautiful 1966 Austin Healey 3000 Mark III BJ8 Phase II Convertible

The next amazing vehicle up for grabs in our Benicia showroom is this beautiful 1966 Austin Healey 3000 Mark III BJ8 Phase II 2 Door Convertible with green exterior paint and a black leather interior.  You’ll find a 177 cubic inch six-cylinder engine under the hood with dual carburetors and a four-speed manual transmission.  This impressive classic is very nicely equipped for modern highway driving with upgraded air conditioning and cruise control.  It is in excellent overall condition as well and ready to enjoy right away.


Three Lifetime Owners w/ Sensational Curb Appeal

The current owner of this 1966 Austin Healey 3000 Mark III Roadster restored it earlier this year and informs us that he has paper work on the restoration.  This “Big Healey” is outstanding in person with a gorgeous body, impressive trim work and show quality paint.  There are a few minor blemishes to be found but nothing to detract from this classic roadster’s overall beauty.  The interior is almost more spectacular with beautiful wood-grain inserts and flawless seating, carpeting and door panels.  The hand-controlled leather top is also in very good shape and likely a recent install.

Additionally, this 1966 Austin Healey 3000 Mark III Convertible performs admirably on the open road with smooth acceleration and very impressive handling.  The engine compartment appears factory correct but we do not have any documentation to support that it could be the original drivetrain, so that will be for the next owner to independently research.  What we can tell you is that it’s very clean and only requires minimal refreshing to be brought up to show quality standards.
