1964 1/2 Ford Mustang Coupe

New to our Pleasanton showroom is this beautiful 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang 2 Door Coupe with 1966 "Silver Frost" exterior paint and a black vinyl "Pony" interior. This is a Mustang that was stripped down to bare metal during a full rotisserie restoration, and rebuilt from the ground up. The motor is a 289 cid V-8 roller engine with fuel injection, a Borg-Warner T-10 four-speed transmission with Hurst linkage and shifter, and a 9" Posi rear end with 3.25 gears. The suspension has also been completely upgraded with progressive coils springs, KYB shocks, premium bushings, and 1" front; 3/4" rear sway bars. Convertible torque boxes were also installed to prevent the body from twisting and improve handling. Other features are front disk brakes, Flowmaster dual exhaust going to GT trumpets, Auto Meter gauges inside 1966 bezels, original Rally Pack with 8,000 RPM Tach, wood Le Carra steering wheel, vintage AM/FM sound system with cassette, 15x7 American Racing torque thrust D wheels and so much more. This one has to be seen in person to truly appreciate as there are too many upgrades to list.

Roaring Resto-Mod Built from the Ground Up

The current owner of this 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang believes he is most likely the third owner, and purchased it all the way back in 1991.  It did show extensive wear at the time so this beauty was built from the ground up, starting with new sheet metal, show quality paint, new chrome all the way around and a complete overhaul and upgrade of the mechanicals.  Every inch of this desirable Mustang was either rebuilt or replaced, so it’s in awesome condition and ready to enjoy.

Additionally, the performance in this 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang is truly second to none with a conservative 330 horsepower on tap for awesome acceleration, smooth shifting transmission, great handling, and plenty of stopping power.  Even though it’s built as quite a capable resto-mod, only the wide-stance wheels give this true sleeper away.  Most would assume that it’s a stock ’64 1/2 Mustang until they look under the hood.
