Desirable 1968 Ford Mustang California Special Hardtop

New to our Benicia showroom is this very desirable 1968 Ford Mustang California Special 2 Door Hardtop with Honda Red exterior paint and a black interior. It features the unrestored, numbers-matching 289 CI V-8 engine under the hood with the matching automatic transmission and you’ll also find a dual exhaust, front disc brakes, a 1969 Ford radio, cold A/C and many recent additions. This one looks great and runs like a dream as well, and it’s one of the few survivors you’ll find anywhere in this price range.

True Survivor w/ Unrestored Numbers-Matching Drivetrain

The current owner of this 1968 Ford Mustang California Special Hardtop purchased it back in 2002 and has only driven it approximately 4,000 miles over the past 13 years. As you can see from the photographs, this desirable muscle car is in very nice condition with good looking exterior paint, a laser straight body and several recent upgrades (radiator, A/C components, heater core, rear shocks, etc.) The carpeting and several interior components have been refreshed as well, making this a very original, very desirable Mustang.

In terms of actual performance, this 1968 Ford Mustang California Special still purrs along with the original, unrestored factory drivetrain. While it did receive a dual exhaust and upgraded brakes just before the current owner purchased it in 2002, this one still looks, handles, and feels like an original classic.
