Exceedingly Rare L89 Corvette

Up for sale today is one of the rarest and most sought-after classics in existence; a British Green 1968 Chevrolet Corvette convertible with a numbers-matching L-89, Tri-power V-8 engine and a 4-speed manual transmission.  Only 624 of these beasts were produced in ’68 and a recent survey determined that there were a total of 29 or less in existence today.  The one before you has been completely restored back to showroom condition and this powerful roadster looks incredible.

Numbers-Matching & Excellent Condition

This 1968 Chevrolet Corvette convertible has remained with the same owner for the past 20+ years and he has the original build sheet plus the original Protecto-plate to certify this vehicle’s authenticity.  This roadster still has its original numbers-matching engine and transmission as well plus it still has its factory aluminum heads.  To find a ’68 with the original L89 in this condition is simply unheard of these days

Fully Restored in Recent Years

In terms of condition, this 1968 Chevrolet Corvette roadster is truly an investment-grade vehicle with bright, glossy paint, a very clean interior, and impressive performance.  This entire sports car was restored over the past several years so everything from the white soft top to the engine compartment to the body looks beautiful.  Likewise, the Tri-power V-8 and the transmission has been restored back to factory specs so this is one of the finer examples of this model available today.

Only 29 Known to Still Exist

Overall, this ultra-rare 1968 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is the real deal and it has everything that serious collectors look for when inspecting this model.  Since the value of this legendary sports car has nowhere to go but up, do not expect for it to remain here long.  For more information about this vehicle, visit our Redwood City, California showroom, give us a call, or email us at  Be sure to mention stock # 30733 as well.
