1968 Plymouth GTX 440

The engine was recently rebuilt to factory specs. It is all stock and correct except for the carb which was replaced with a Street Avenger and new flowmaster dual exhaust with original factory tips. Everthing under the hood is new or rebuilt, including the radiator, distributor, alternator, water pump, belts, hoses, exhaust manifolds. The engine runs perfectly, is very powerful 375 HP, has factory chrome pack and looks fantastic. 

Transmission

727 Torqueflite is recently rebuilt and original with a shift kit. It is controlled by the original shifter and linkage. 

Rear-end

8 3/4 Sure-Grip with 3:23 gears. Also recently rebuilt, all new clutch packs, gears, and bearings.. 

Body

The paint is a two stage PPG factory B5 Blue. It has three coats of clear, each hand sanded and buffed to a mirror finish. All the body panels are arrow straight and smooth. The doors, hood and trunk close easily with even gaps. The chrome trim, grill assembly and tail trim is in beautiful condition. The bumpers and door handles are newley re-chromed. Even the window chrome is exceptional. The under carriage is amazing in that its still covered with its factory undercoating and is virtually rust free. The white upholstery and carpets are also exceptional. The headliner, console, door panels, steering wheel, dash assembly, gauges, bezels, all beautiful. 

Suspension, Wheels, Brakes

The car came with power steering and power front disc brakes.. The ball joints, tie rods and wheel bearings were also replaced. The wheels are the factory style Magnum 500's. 15x8 front (245 60-15) and 15 X 10 (295 50-15) rear. They were custom made for the car and it looks tremendous. To find a GTX that has not been wrecked, repaired, cut up or modified with all its factory undercoating still in place is rare indeed.
